Smaranda Almasan graduated Fashion Design Master in 2008 at Art and Design University from Cluj. In the summer of that year, she received support in opening her own workshop in Cluj.
That moment made her realise what it means to create a product form A to Z, pattern technique, the work with all kind of fabrics. In the autumn of the same year she also opened a showroom
in Cluj, in a location dedicated to contemporary art manifestations, The Paintbrush Factory.
